2012, fall 2012, and spring
2013.
Field Trip Information
Our field trip option is
open exclusively to
organized groups such as:
school groups (public,
private & home school),
church groups, Boy Scouts,
etc.
The recommended age minimum
for a field trip is 5 yrs
old.
INCLUDES:
1) An up close and personal
look at the exotic animals
in our exotics barns!
2) Interaction with some
of our educational
animals, including:
kangaroo, lemur and
more!
(Animals
available vary with the
season. Due to extreme
temperatures, some animals
may be unavailable.)
3) A kids bucket train
ride!
4) Safari Wagon ride thru
our exotic pastures to get
up close and personal with
zebras, camels, horses and
more!
5) 30 minutes in our picnic
area courtyard for sack lunch!
(Our concession stand is
closed during the week)
While children of all ages
are welcome at Sharkarosa,
please be aware that our
field trips are geared
towards school aged children
K thru 12th grade.
Breast feeding and diaper
changing facilities are not
currently available.
Additionally, while
strollers are welcome,
portions of the field trip
will require you leave them
behind in our general public
area.
Field Trip Time
Frames:
Your field trip time
frame will depend on
the size of your
group.
If you have less
than 30 total
people, your field
trip will be between
1 1/2- 2hrs.
If you have 30-75
total people, your
field trip will be
between 2 -2 1/2
hours.
If you have 80-120 total people,
your field trip will
between 2 1/2 - 3
1/2 hours.
In order to
properly staff
your field trip,
we require an
approximate head
count when you
book. THIS
INCLUDES all
parents
attending as
chaperones.
There is a 120
person maximum
per field trip.
Cost:
STUDENTS: $8
(If he/she walks on their
own, they are counted as a
student)
TEACHERS/BUS DRIVERS: FREE!
(1 free teacher per 18
students)
ADDITIONAL PARENT CHAPERONES: $8.
A minimum of 25 people or
$200 is required for a field
trip.
A deposit of $200 is
required to make a field
trip reservation (this does
go towards your total ticket
cost).
At the end of each field trip, we
will
open our gift shop with items
for you to purchase.
Items are $3 and up. We
appreciate your school
allowing students to visit
the gift shop as this helps
keep our admission costs
low.

Silly Bandz are prohibited.
Teacher's please make sure
all students wearing Silly
Bandz leave them at school.
