Always Growing

Our facility is always growing! On a typical day Sharkarosa is home to 180+ animals. We are not by definition a “rescue” organization. However, we do assist with exotic animal rescues by lending experience, needed supplies or housing. Please see the Donations page to find out how you can help us with these ongoing projects.

Open To Public

Open to the Public Days are every Friday, Saturday and Sunday as long as the weather permits. All other events require an advanced reservation. Please browse our Visitor’s Guide for information on how to book a private tour, field trip or party.

Want to have a birthday party at Sharkarosa Zoo? We can make that happen. Contact us for information.

It was an amazing experience at the ranch. Our 2 year old had a lot of fun petting some of the animals and feeding most of them and so did I. The ranch was fairly clean given the fact that there are so ny kinds of animals there. The smell was not bad either. The prices for the adults ($15) amd parking ($5) was reasonable I think. Children under 3 are free to enter. Most of the farm animals were active and interactive but the lions, tiger, kangaroo, hyena and bear were mostly sleeping during our 2 hour visit. The prices for the feed was reasonable as well ($10 for 4 bags or $3 for 1). Overall it was a great experience. I thought that the tours were confusing to track and locate and there were not enough staffs present. The ones that were present were friendly. Would definitely be interested to go again on a slightly less hotter day.

I just want to say that I Love, Love, Love this place. Not a huge place, but it makes up for it with the love and care that they have for their animals. I love the encounters they have and it is so worth it to spend time learning and loving on them. Will definitely be back!!!

Great visit! This was our first time here. We went during the week when it was likely a bit slower than the weekends. It was small enough to see everything without a ton of walking, yet large enough to enjoy the park and animals.

Very nice staff and clean facility. Lots of animals to feed and interact with. Playgrounds for kids and food available in an AC environment. Great family venue. Challenging for the wheelchair bound or mobility challenged to move about the grounds. Lots of rock, gravel and uneven ground. Bring a motorized scooter if possible.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Everyone who works here is so awesome! Lots of cool animals for us and the kids. An up close encounter with adorable lemurs and some info on them and why they’re endangered/in the conservation program. Military friendly. This place made our stay in Pilot Point! ❤️

For such a small area, you get to see a wide variety of animals. This is a great family activity. Staff were very polite and helpful. Unlike a traditional zoo, this is not an all day trip. In my opinion, 2-3 hours is sufficient. We were able to see most of the animals close up.

This was a great little find in the "middle of nowhere" The animals all seamed happy and well taken care of. The guy who was roaming amongst the enclosures was very knowledgeable and could answer all questions. Nice variety of animals we had never seen before!
